Consultation approach

We understand the importance of consulting and engaging with the local community to making successful places that deliver genuine benefits for local people.

Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic we had started to meet with various stakeholders to help us begin to understand the aspirations of local people for the site. Next, we were planning to host a series on in-person events with the public and local amenity groups.

In light of Covid-19 and the social distancing measures that look set to continue for the foreseeable future, we have had to rethink ways of engaging with the local community on our development proposals. We are continuing to do this safely and effectively through this virtual consultation approach.

We appreciate that some may find it harder than others to access the information online. If this applies to you or somebody you know, please let us know and we will post summary versions of our consultation material to you.

We are also aware that face-to-face meetings are still a very effective approach of engaging with the community. Please join one of our webinars or let us know if you would like a video or telephone call to speak with us and ask any questions directly.

We will keep the ability to host in-person events under review moving forward, and will do so as soon as it is safe enough to do so.
