Thank you to everyone who took part over the summer in the first stage of pubic consultation.
Earlier this year we published our timetable for consultation and planning submission. We have now revised this to give more time to speak to local people and stakeholders and are aiming on submitting our planning application in Spring 2021.
We received a fantastic response to our consultation this summer and would like to thank everyone who took part. The volume and quality of the feedback will be very helpful in developing our proposals. Thank you to all the residents, community groups businesses and Councillors that have taken part so far.
We have been reviewing the feedback closely with our design team, looking at opportunities to update the proposals and progressing the design in more detail, which we will update you on in the new year.
Our review of the feedback highlights that the items of greatest interest to local people are height, affordable housing, processes around land remediation, and how the development will affect daylight, sunlight and wind in the area.
Other topics raised during our consultation included traffic, public transport, car parking, cycle and pedestrian links, local services (schools and GPs), commercial space and the existing businesses on site.
We are planning to host a second public consultation in the New Year with the aim of submitting a planning application in Spring 2021.
We hope to be able to do this in person, subject to government guidelines and restrictions.
We look forward to talking to you further on our updated proposals next year. In the meantime please feel free to contact us with any comments or questions.
This website will also be updated with more news and information as the proposals develop so please do check back here regularly.
